QUILT CAMP 2007

The Out to Lunch Bunch Quilters of Goodyear try to have two quilt camps each year. In 2007, they were held in "Happy Jack" Arizona. Space is limited, but no one is turned away. As you can see, one of the quilters slept in a walk-in closet! Each quilter prepares one night time meal & never has to cook again.
In 2008, our plan is to have the first camp in April at Happy Jack & the second one is a road trip to MN. Watch for more information on the camps & the follow up pictures.

We traveled to Strawberry to their annual quilt show. It was a fun day away from the sewing machines.

Everyone works on his or her own projects at camp. For some of us, this is the only time we get to quilt for ourselves. Charity quilting takes up a lot of our time.

We might get frustrated with a project, but this is frustration we can al live with!

The Randall House in Pine was a very nice place to have a peaceful & interesting lunch.

Just a few of the completed projects.

Each quilter quilts as many hours as desired at camp. For some of us, that's about 12 hours each day. Others like to read, take walks or just visit.

We had a class on this "Bears in the Woods" quilt. Each one turned out very different.

We also make pillow cases for ourselves, gifts & for a child crisis center.

We celebrate each quilt as it is finished!
