OLB is a group of quilters dedicated to the craft and to charitable works. We started in 2002 to help beginning quilters learn the craft. The group was having so much fun meeting for classes that more experienced quilters joined.
From there the group wanted to do something for the instructor who graciously lent her home for the meetings and the first Monday of each month was dedicated for charity quilting. Many of the quilters enjoy the charity work so much they forget to make themselves quilts!
Now we make pillowcases and other items to help those in need. Additionally OLB has two major quilting partners in Helping Hands and Big Bug Charity Quilters. OLB currently has 26 members.
We welcome any donations! email us at mpiselb@earthlink.net for information on how you may donate. We would love to have cotton fabric & batting. If you are cleaning out your stash, think of us!!! If you are in the Metro Phoenix area, we will pick up large donations. If you are in AZ, we will find someone who is traveling to your town!
