QUILTER'S PROTECT THE EARTH
Please take a moment of your time and visit the following website: www.carbonrally.com
I have taken 3 of the challenges and plan to take more as I find that changing my "habits" and life style really works. Our group gives a lot to our community through our charity "comfort quilts". This costs us time and money. Taking the carbon rally challenges is a way to be charitable to our earth and to humankind and, in many cases, puts money in our pockets through savings. Please join me. Take a challenge!

Quilt Raffle!!!!
Trip Around the Star Class - August 16th, 2008
Please note: The incorrect name was given for the specialty tool required for the class; it should have been "QUILT in a DAY's Triangle Square Up Ruler." If you do not have one and are unable to pick one up prior to class, one will be avalable during class and there will also be copies of the grid for everyone.
We will first concentrate on making the STAR block.
PRIOR TO CLASS:
Choose 5 fabrics for the star & make a fabric key
Press fabric (I use Best Press or Magic Sizing for this) & cut as follows
#1 - lightest - (cut 2 - 2 1/2" strips & 2 - 1 1/4" strips)
#2 - medium light - (cut 1 - 2 1/2" strip)
#3 - medium - (cut 1 - 2 1/2" strip)
#4 - medium dark - (cut 1 - 2 1/2" strip)
#5 - dark - (cut 1 - 2 1/2" strip)
You may also press (again using Best Press or Magic Sizing) & cut your 2" strips for the "trip" per the instructions in the pattern.
